How Shall We Eat?

In the Bible the disciples came to Jesus and asked Him how shall we pray?  If I lived in that time and knew that Jesus was the Messiah, and that the Messiah was indeed God I would have asked a lot more questions.  One question I would have asked would have been, "how shall we eat?"

You see, eating is something that we take for granted in the United States (at least some parts), but even if you are dirt poor and very rich, eating should be as follows:

One should only eat when they have earned the hunger.  Plenty of times we make the mistake of eating to appease our appetites.  This can be dangerous and is in many cases.  I do not know what Jesus would have answered, but I do know that it dangerous and unnatural to eat when one is not hungry.

We must start to think of our bodies as machines.  When you think about it; we build machines after how our bodies are build (cars, etc.).  Machines need rest, they need proper intake of material for operation.  If one can sum up the discipline to eat only when they are hungry and have earned the hunger, the person can lose weight without a lot of trick diets, avoiding favorite foods, and other things that make losing weight or dieting a headache.

In a few days I'll write more on this topic.  Have a great day and eat when you are hungry (distinguish between hunger and appetite).  Hunger is natural, appetite can arise when you smell a burger cooking or when a friend says they want a cheesecake for dessert.  The brain will trick you into thinking you are hungry.  That is appetite.  Wait and obey your hunger.
