Life Lesson: Do Not Celebrate the Fall of Your Enemy

I read chapter 24 of the book co-authored by a great king of the nation of Israel and as you know Solomon (along with Jesus) had some pretty wise words to share with anyone trying to have wisdom.

I picked out two golden gems from this chapter that pertains to life that all parents should share with their kids.

17Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:

18Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls and do not let your mind be glad at his or her stumble.  Real servants of God as well as real people do not get happy at the fall of others because in reality no matter how mean or wicked someone is; it is sad that they are doing such things.

It is sad they have no wisdom and knowledge to do better and it is sad that they will have to pay the consequences on all their actions.

Some religions call it karma, but in the bible it is called the vengeance of the Lord.

Verse 18 said, the Lord may see you putting up (mental) balloons to celebrate that mean boss of yours who is about to get fired; and see you rejoicing and turn away His wrath from your boss and keep him or her in power.  So you should just do like I do...and say "dag," and move on.

Wisdom is the principle thing but with all that, get understanding.

Peace
