Ask Yourself These Three Questions
Every time you see an advertisement (on the Internet, in a magazine, on a billboard, on TV …) ask these three questions:
1. What are they attempting to get me to believe?
2. What technique are they using to influence me?
3. Will what they are offering actually benefit me or the people I care about?
Every time you listen to a political commentator, political discussion, or a political speech, ask these three questions:
1. What are they attempting to get me to believe?
2. What technique are they using to influence me?
3. Will what they are offering actually benefit me or the people I care about?
If not all three questions are met with a valid logical benefiting answer; then back away from the table and continue on. We get bombarded with ads and sales messages it mentally slows us down. Take a step back and ask those question now… even about this blog!
