Statement from Senator Tom Coburn

Senator Tom Coburn released a statement saying, “We’re bankrupt, this country is bankrupt, and people just don’t want to admit it.” He claims Congress is doing a ton of wasteful spending. This is mind blowing because Congress are supposed to find out where the actual wasteful spending is coming from. They are not supposed to be part of the problem. Tom Coburn gave a few examples as to why he feels the country is bankrupt.

Senator Tom Coburn Statement

Tom Coburn said supporting organizations like the National Football League is a major problem.  The NFL is a “non-profit” organization so Congress gets little to no money from it. There has also been major spending on robots, video games, and NASA. Tom Coburn says government wasted $132 million this year. He also says the only way to turn it around is to get rid of the people in office.

If Tom Coburn’s statement about this country being bankrupt is true then we have major problems. I’ve personally seen what poverty can do to people. If the whole country is broke then you can almost guarantee complete anarchy.  I’m just hoping people don’t catch on to the situation quickly. Congress needs to fix this problem before things get out of hand.

Senator Tom Coburn Statement is a Big Statement

If people start to realize we’re in financial turmoil, people are going to panic. That is just the way things are in human psychology. Human nature is going to set in, and people will start to get desperate and protective. I definitely see a rise in crime if something is not done about this. Many people have already lost hope in this country, we don’t need the MAJORITY of people hopeless.  America is going to be a powerless country if this keeps up, and the people who will suffer the most are us taxpayers.
